Would you speak out if you knew Her Majesty Revenue and Customs had misused thousands of pounds of public funds to charge you with being an extremist for heckling the British National Party at a peaceful protest in Burnley? Would you refuse to drop your case with the Civil Service Commissioners if you were warned by HMRC you would be sacked if you did not? Letter from Frank McGurdy (HMRC) dated 10 April, 2012, were HMRC refuse to amend records (their own records) showing that at the time HMRC Manager, Neil Richardson found me guilty of amogst things, making a finger gun at a colleague I was not at work. (Under the Data Protection Act, it is an offence to refuse to amend information which you know to be incorrect if an employee or former employee requests it). The case will shortly be referred to the Information Commissioner and an update will be provided in due course).

E-mail from HMRC whistleblower, Andi Ali, to HMRC Chairman Dave Hartnett and Tax Credit director Richard Summersgill, raising concerns under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998. Amazingly, HMRC cited this as a breach of contract and sacked him despite it being unlawful to sack workers for raising concerns under the PIDA. HMRC also blanked out the top part of this document for reasons HMRC have never explained.
