Would you speak out if you knew Her Majesty Revenue and Customs had misused thousands of pounds of public funds to charge you with being an extremist for heckling the British National Party at a peaceful protest in Burnley? Would you refuse to drop your case with the Civil Service Commissioners if you were warned by HMRC you would be sacked if you did not? If your wondering why I did then perhaps when you've read these internal letters, reports, and e-mails you’ll understand.

Transcript of HMRC Investigators Ian Wright and Donna Todd, interviewing HMRC Manager, Tony Smith, dated 22 March, 2006. In it Mr Smith admits he did not hear HMRC Whistleblower Andi Ali say he supported suicide bombers, he just assumed he did because he wore an Arabic headscarf to work. Mr Smith also explains why he submitted a complaint describing Mr Ali as an extremist for heckling the Neo Nazi BNP at a peaceful anti-racist protest in Burnley. (Both these complaints had been upheld by Tina Gallagher, HMRC, although what was extremist about heckling the BNP at a peaceful anti racist protest, Mrs Gallagher did not say)
