Would you speak out if you knew Her Majesty Revenue and Customs had misused thousands of pounds of public funds to charge you with being an extremist for heckling the British National Party at a peaceful protest in Burnley? Would you refuse to drop your case with the Civil Service Commissioners if you were warned by HMRC you would be sacked if you did not? Transcript of HMRC Investigators Heather Whittaker and Jim Samson interviewing Lynne Watson (HMRC), 9 October 2006 were Lynne told the investigators that she had never heard me express support for suicide bombers or sexually harass anybody despite the fact she sat behind me and could hear everything I did and said. At a later employment tribunal hearing, HMRC Solicitor, Ian Painter told the tribunal that the reason the department did not interview this witness earlier (I had previously been found guilty of expressing support for suicide bombers), is because the department was eager to secure a guilty verdict.
